Whoa! What's a Border Collie doing on here? Maya is a female Border Collie we found
running along on a rural highway in the middle of winter 2003.
At the time, she was just over a year old, nearly 10 pounds
underweight, in need of medical attention and looking for
a home. Marc and I brought her to the Toronto Humane Society
just in case she had been lost. After seven days there she
was up for adoption and we took her home. Along with obedience, agility and rally-O classes, Marc has taken Maya herding. Maya is
spayed and is not part of our breeding program but is an important
part of our family.
