About Us

Both Marc and Marisa grew up with dogs. We have been in Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers since 2000 and Labrador Retrievers since 2005. Marisa is currently the Vice President of the NSDTRC of Canada (2007/2008). Marisa is also a past Secretary of the NSDTRC of Canada (2005/2006) and Central Ontario director for the Ontario Toller Club (2003/2004).

Farley Kennels is dedicated to the whole dog. We aim for sound structure, optimum health, excellent temperament, and exceptional talent. We are commited to maintaining the breed as a working retriever and a cherished member of the family.

Our dogs are pets first but we also actively compete in field, obedience, rally-O and conformation. All of our dogs have been to obedience classes so that they can be good canine citizens.

We feed all our dogs the raw diet and follow a limited vaccine protocol. Our dogs also have at least a yearly check-up with a vet. In regards to breeding and health, our dogs have their hips checked for hip dysplasia, hearts certified by a cardiologist, and eyes checked yearly and certified by CERF. We are also doing genetic testing as more tests become available (PRA, CEA/CH, CNM).
