About Us

Both Marc and Marisa grew up with dogs. We have been in Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers since 2000 and Labrador Retrievers since 2005. Marisa is a past Vice President of the NSDTRC of Canada (2007/2008), past Secretary of the NSDTRC of Canada (2005/2006) and past Central Ontario director for the Ontario Toller Club (2003/2004).

Farley Kennels is dedicated to the whole dog. We aim for sound structure, optimum health, excellent temperament, and exceptional talent. We are commited to maintaining the breed as a working retriever and a cherished member of the family.

Our dogs are pets first but we also actively compete in field, obedience, rally-O and conformation. All of our dogs have been to obedience classes so that they can be good canine citizens.

We feed all our dogs the raw diet and follow a limited vaccine protocol. Our dogs also have at least a yearly check-up with a vet. In regards to breeding and health, our dogs have their hips checked for hip dysplasia, hearts certified by a cardiologist, and eyes checked yearly and certified by CERF. We are also doing genetic testing as more tests become available (PRA, CEA/CH, CNM).
